Building EQ: Creating High Performance Building in the Tropics | lunes, 19. agosto 2019
Presentation Abstract: Building EQ is a web based portal that compares your building’s performance with similar building types. Tying in to Society President Darryl Boyce’s theme of “Building for People and Performance. Achieving Operational Excellence,” Building EQ offers a consistent methodology, so buildings within an owner’s portfolio can also be compared against each other and they can be re‐evaluated over time to see if the improvements are getting the expected energy savings and performance results. These comparisons enable owners to invest financial resources in their buildings in the ways that will provide the greatest return. Two separate evaluations, one for As Designed potential (asset rating) and the other for In Operation performance (operational rating), form the foundation of Building EQ. Taken together the As Designed and In Operation ratings provide a comprehensive view of a building’s current and potential energy Bio: John Constantinide is a Senior Mechanical Engineer with Alpha MRC Architects Engineers, providing mechanical engineering and hazardous material consultation for the firm.
