Miss Black Union | domingo, 01. junio 2025

Presented by WE² - Women Empowered℠

Encouraging cultural and intellectual growth in young black women is the mission of this event.

The Miss Black Union Pageant will help develop a sense of ownership in one's self fostering poise and confidence in each participant.

As a role model for women, Miss Black Union has to be well spoken and have a genuine interest in issues facing our community. Participation in the Miss Black Union Program empowers these young women to achieve their personal and professional goals, while providing a forum in which to use their talents and intelligence to achieve a platform dedicated to making a difference in their lives and the lives of others. As our Queen, Miss Black Union must be prepared to be interviewed by the media, and speak at events. "This will not be just a one night event. We endeavor to have cultural and etiquette events throughout the year to prepare all the young ladies for their future both in the classroom and out in ways that include but aren't limited to: professionalism, money management, proper attire for professional settings and interviews and so much more!" - Wanda Vanderford, VP WE²

This scholarship pageant is open to rising high school Seniors, college Freshman and college Sophomores in Union County's African American communities. If you, or someone you know, are interested in becoming a contestant or a sponsor, please contact Leslie Brewton, Wanda Vanderford or any WE² - Women Empowered member. General information (pageant criteria, time, venue and pageant events) will post above & below as it becomes available.
